CEO comments on 3i's sale of 1 million shares and our subsequent purchase.

Commenting on recent share purchases, Mike Antliff, CEO Digital Animations Group plc said:
"We are taking the opportunity to fulfil commitments made to our shareholders back in October. Our intention to buy back shares was discussed and authorised at our last AGM. At this meeting, we made it clear that we considered that this course of action demonstrated both our faith in the company and our wish to enhance shareholder value. We then entered the 'closed period' in the run up to our interims announcement and were, therefore, prohibited to carry out any purchases. The stock was made available today and we had no hesitation in making the purchase.

"3i has been an investor since 1995 and we are grateful for their contribution to the growth of the company over the years. They continue to be one of our major investors. That said, 3i have never been other than open about their portfolio management. Their choice to sell now is our opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to enhance shareholder value. Given our recent moves to strengthen the Board and our market position, we are delighted to be able to take up these shares."
