The Challenge
Impatica is leading the way on corporate and educational presentations over the web. Impatica’s technology allows companies to imbed real video into Microsoft PowerPoint presentations simultaneously compressing the file so it can even be viewed over a regular modem. The video is fully timeline synchronised with the presentation so the correct notes appear on screen.

However, real video is expensive to produce. This has meant that smaller companies have been unable to take advantage of Impatica’s sophisticated technology because of the cost of producing the video. Studio time does not come cheaply; neither do the production and editing facilities, a vital part of video production. Camera operators, script writers, sound technicians and the presenter (if an actor) all need to be paid.

DA Group has been challenged to provide a more flexible service with a lower long term operating cost that smaller firms will be able to take advantage of.

The Solution
Impatica are developing new generation of tools which offer the option of using DA Group’s real time rendering virtual characters. Hence communicators can replace the video image with a bespoke character, background branding, and customised voice & languages.

The immediate benefit for using the enhanced tools can be recognised by smaller companies in enhancing their branding across the web. Academic institutions can also realise a benefit as the lecturer can now put the entire presentation together themselves rather than needing a camera and lighting crew.

The system is completely customisable with several different voices available and indeed several different languages. DA Group can also offer animation of a corporate mascot so if you have a design for an animated character of your own DA and Impatica will be able to help.
