DA Group appointed leading US investment expert John Ward as non-executive director in May 2002. John is the chairman and CEO of New York-based Transition International Inc, a management consultancy that specialises in advising early stage British companies who are looking to expand.

He held the non-executive chairmanship of 3i Corporation (3i's US subsidiary) for seven years from 1991 and currently holds a number of other non-executive directorships with both US and UK technology-oriented companies.

Bringing to DA Group an international perspective as well as vast experience of financial markets, John has enjoyed a career at the highest levels of international and investment banking with Citibank, Merrill Lynch and The Midland Group, before establishing his own consultancy, Transition International Inc, in 1994.
